![]() BIOGRAPHY - Born in Lisbon (Portugal) in 1980, Pedro Bento’s fascination with photography began at an early age. As an outdoor enthusiast, Pedro used to take father's Pentax P30 camera to the field and started taking photographs simply as records of his outdoors. Easily he turned his hobby into a passion and felt that his love for landscape photography couldn’t be broken anymore. In the last years he left photographic interpretation as a mere documentary register and started to photograph the places’s soul. Living near Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, provides Pedro endless photo opportunities. He spends much time exploring this area wich ofer such a dynamic landscape: from Sintra's mountain range and wonderful forests, to Guincho's sand dunes or the wild beaches near Cabo da Roca (continental Europe's westernmost point). CREDITS - Due to the way Pedro captures those unique moments he have been gathering some national and international awards. His images have been published on magazines, calendars and displayed as interior art decoration to USA, UK and Portuguese agencies. Since 2007, Pedro has been leading photography workshops through FotoNature. He is also a member of photographic club, LightHarmony, that represents the work of a few talented photographers from around the world. VISION - As an artist, Pedro's goal is to create impact and emotions with his photos in order to make people feel connected to the places pictured. He believes that if this message is passed then people will learn to preserve our planet so that places such as represented in their photos remain intact over the coming generations.
